I have noticed that areas of my food forest that are close to a brick/paved walkway or walls of a building tend to have warmer soil temperates and thus certain fruit trees that are not as cold hardy do better in those spots. What are some other examples of things that people are seeing in the food forest which seem to radiate heat to help with less cold hardy plants (figs, pineapple guava, ect.)?
